Our Founder
JON SCHULTZ
Jon’s professional story begins with earning a mechanical engineering degree at the University of Texas-Austin, paving the way to an impressive 25 years as a pioneer in software sales and development within the high-tech space, working for great companies like Micro Technology, International Network Services, and EMC.
Golf was an early passion for Jon that grew into a scratch handicap index, competing at the highest level in amateur golf, to raising his three sons around the sport, all earning collegiate golf scholarships. It’s through Jon’s love for the game, his engineering background, and his natural ability to creatively look at a problem and see a solution that ezLocator was born.
Determined to create a tournament-like experience with an increased variety of hole locations presented to golfers (including himself) on a daily basis, Jon’s mission and the development of ezLocator were underway.
ezLocator was founded in 2008, gained its first customer (Dallas National Golf Club) in 2009, and received a U.S. Patent in 2018. Fast forward to today, ezLocator is prosperous and utilized in over 500 of the finest golf courses in North America, Europe, and Australia.
ezLocator has revolutionized the hole location management process and has set the standard for how hole locations should be selected and managed.
Presently, Jon’s energy, enthusiasm, and desire to innovate are focused on leveraging relationships and building partnerships with industry leaders driven by the core value of finding the best way for ezLocator and its trusted partners to better serve and support their customers.
